Google has expanded its Gemini AI capabilities across its entire productivity suite — Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive — in a move that brings generative AI directly into the workflows of hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
Co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin built Google on the principle that information should be universally accessible and useful. The Gemini integration into Workspace is the most direct expression of that principle in the AI era: intelligent assistance embedded inside the tools people already use daily.
For enterprise customers, the update raises the baseline expectation for what a productivity suite should do. Companies that have been deliberating AI adoption now face a simpler question: their existing tools are AI-powered by default.
