Angelina Canelli founded REIT AI in 2024, building a Miami-headquartered platform that applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to one of institutional real estate’s most persistent frustrations: not a shortage of data, but the inability to see clearly through data that is fragmented, inconsistently reported, and slow to translate into action. As Founder and CEO, working alongside Chief Growth Officer Marco Spiezia, Canelli has positioned REIT AI to serve real estate investors, private equity funds, pension funds, endowments, and sovereign wealth entities managing portfolios ranging from $10 million to over $500 million.
Canelli’s path to founding REIT AI runs through more than a decade in global finance. She has held roles at JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, working across financial hubs including London, Chicago, Phoenix, and Miami, experience that gave her direct exposure to institutional investment strategy and organizational transformation before she moved into real estate technology. She holds a Master of Science in Marketing and Project Management from the London School of Business and Finance, is PRINCE2 certified, and remains an active member of the Project Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
REIT AI’s platform applies proprietary machine learning models to real-time market signals, geospatial analytics, and predictive economic modeling, analyzing variables including occupancy trends, interest rate movements, ESG factors, and geopolitical risk to support acquisition scoring, portfolio optimization, and automated financial reporting. The company markets itself around preserving net operating income and accelerating reporting cycles for institutional clients navigating compliance requirements, including FCA and FINRA obligations, that traditionally slow investor onboarding and capital calls.
Alongside REIT AI, Canelli owns Canelli Condos, a real estate development firm focused on renovating residential properties for resale and advising investors, and she has continued working as a Financial Project Manager at Deloitte, optimizing financial operations and reporting systems. She was named a 2025 Influential Woman by Influential Women in recognition of her work bridging real estate and financial technology. Canelli’s approach reflects a broader shift among institutional real estate technology providers: moving asset managers away from legacy spreadsheet-based analytics toward AI systems capable of surfacing risk and opportunity in something closer to real time.
